The conventional technology for fabrication of prosthetic constructions is very time-consuming and mostly done by hand, which makes the subjective factor decisive for the accuracy of the dental prostheses.
The additive technologies (prototyping technologies) produce 3D objects directly from the data source via adding material layer by layer. As a result, a lot of the conventional manipulations are eliminated, the production time and the price are decreased, and the accuracy and quality of the prosthetic constructions are higher.
The new technologies are covered in the theory of the educational programs of the students of Dental Medicine and dental technicians, while in their practice the conventional technology is underlined.
The realization of the project hopefully will make possible the creation of laboratory and treatment protocol for fabrication of prosthetic constructions via prototypes as well as educational curriculums for dental medicine and dental technicians in accordance with the innovation technologies. As a result the quality of the education is going to be improved.
